BIG REVEAL - LOFTY AMBITIONS

Our client had purchased this property overlooking the Sea in the North East coastal town of Seaburn as a place to retire to after a hectic career seeing her live internationally for many years. She wanted to be able to enter the room and utterly relax and enjoy the location she would spend her more relaxed years in.

OUR PROCESS & PROJECT LAUNCH

When we first arrived it was split into three small rooms and the sea views were all but ignored with nothing orientated toward the exact reason our client loved the house. We immediately addressed that and rearranged the space, giving sea views from the bed & a window bench seat drawing focus to her uninterrupted view.

To achieve the ultimate relaxation spot we placed a beautiful stone bath in the bedroom under the sloped ceiling- creating a cosy cocooned feeling. We also made sure there was plenty of function too with a dressing room packed with storage and a spacious ensuite.

RENOVATION REVEALED

Here, we built in a bench, where the clients could now make the most of their sea vistas with a glass of wine.

We designed this loft suite to feel like a luxurious and relaxing hotel. The colour palette running throughout is calming neutrals, with pops of our client’s favourite deep blue paired with soft pastels. This helps to give a feeling of warmth to the space as well as Studio Dean’s “quiet luxury” style.

Where there was once an unused guest bedroom, we transformed this area into a cosy hideaway. Nestled into the low loft ceiling this area creates the perfect space to soak in the bath and a long day.

The bedroom is enveloped in dark blue, with the bed being framed in a bespoke headboard panelled with textured neutral paper. Irregular bedside lights are a Studio Dean must to create a unique space.

This space is a perfect example of the beautiful results that can be achieved when you make use of the space in your home for you, and not the guests that visit once a year.
